Director of Engineering Brad Range

THRIVE has added its latest strategic hire as the firm continues to excel in new product and medical device development. Brad Range is the newest addition to the world-class THRIVE team and takes on the role of Director of Engineering.

“Brad will continue to expand THRIVE‘s already established New Product Development practice, working at the leading edge of human-centered design, innovation, and strategy,” said THRIVE CEO Jonathan Dalton. “As we continue to innovate at the frontiers of health and well-being, our clients are increasingly asking us to develop and combine the skills and expertise needed for developing breakthrough medical technologies from concept through to commercialization. Our recent staff additions in our Human Factors Engineering (HFE) practice and now Brad show our continued commitment to a vertically integrated model of delivering human-centered devices to the medical industry.”

Brad brings expertise in medical devices, robotics, automation, and consumer products, along with a rich track record of leading global, cross-disciplinary teams to develop more than 100 new products from concept to production. He has both the engineering leadership and the technical prowess to efficiently analyze and design manufacturable products that meet users’ needs. More specifically, his experience includes designing, prototyping, and supporting the manufacture of Keurig Kold, advanced robotic systems for Boston Dynamics, and Toyota’s BLAID (an indoor navigation system for the blind). Before joining. THRIVE Brad managed all operations for Acorn Product Development’s Southeastern Design Center and mentored a team of more than 40 engineers.

Range holds an undergraduate degree and master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech. Range will report directly to CEO & Co-Founder Jonathan Dalton and will lead the New Product Development practice into the future. He will be responsible for the successful execution of our long-term growth plans in the realm of product development to ensure that we continue to serve our clients, and develop our employees in the best way possible.
