THRIVE Continues to Expand Its World Class Team with Key Hire: Jefferson McCloud
THRIVE has acquired its latest strategic hire as the firm continues to excel in Digital Experience Design, UX and Healthcare. Jefferson McCloud is the newest addition to the world-class THRIVE team and takes on the role of Director of Digital Experience Design.
“It is the right time for a Director who can continue to expand THRIVE’s already established digital capability, working at the leading edge of strategy, design, and technology,” said THRIVE CEO Jonathan Dalton. “Our clients are increasingly realizing the value of better digital experiences and are continually seeking out THRIVE to help them realize their digital futures. Jeff is unique in his field with the ability to work at the intersection of both the digital and physical to connect the ‘screen world’ with ‘real world’ experiences. We are thrilled to have him on board, and look forward to seeing him shine as a Thriver in the years to come.”
McCloud has been on both sides of a lot of different fences throughout his professional career. He started marketing products before transitioning to designing them. He’s since worked on both the client and consultancy sides and has designed medical devices for both physicians and consumers. He has held positions at MITRE in Massachusetts, where he worked on the government side of innovation, doing research and design with a focus on data visualization and mobile health. He then worked designing connected health products for medical consultancy Ximedica, followed by an in-house position in product design for Teva Pharmaceutical Industries.
“I’m super excited to be the newest member of THRIVE, a design-led organization built on high-quality deliverables with tremendous integrity,” said McCloud. “I’m looking forward to helping shape and mold the digital experience practice at THRIVE, and put a lot more firepower behind that to expand the team’s capabilities,” he says. “It’s not just thinking about the digital experience, or the UI or IoT, but how all of it interacts with the data, how that information is brought to the application, how you present it to the user, and how that can make the experience more powerful for all stakeholders.”
McCloud holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, and then went on to get his Master’s in Industrial Design from Georgia Tech. McCloud will report directly to Chief Creative Officer & Co-Founder Trent Kahute and will lead the Digital Experience team into the future. He will be responsible for the successful execution of our long-term growth plans in the realm of digital experience to ensure that we continue to serve our clients, and develop our employees in the best way possible.
