Expanding Our World Class Team. Key Hire: Thomas Wages
THRIVE is yet again expanding its world-class team, and we’ve made yet another strategic hire as we continue to excel in innovation, strategy, and design. Thomas Wages, the newest addition to the team, joins us as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Until now, THRIVE hasn’t had a Chief Operating Officer, but with our continued growth, the time has come.
“The time is right for a new executive, one who will take care of all the important operational responsibilities of a company our size, so that others can focus on the important activity of demand creation so we can continue our strong growth,” said THRIVE CEO Jonathan Dalton. “We knew very quickly in the search process that Thomas was the right choice to fill our new COO role, and we’re thrilled to have him.”
“Operations by its nature is to ensure every moving part of a business is working at its most optimum capacity. After 30 years in the field, THRIVE is a breath of fresh air due to their culture of true collaboration and the pursuit of excellence across every detail of their work,” says Wages.
Wages is a true journeyman of the creative industry with 30 years of experience that has seen him hold positions at CNN and Turner Broadcasting, be a Senior Vice-President at the advertising agency Moxie, founding his own record label, and partnering to start the digital agency Look-Listen. Most recently he has been leading his eponymous fashion label “Thomas Wages.” His experience includes all aspects of the design process and agency operations, demonstrating his ability to successfully operate and run creative enterprises across a wide range of creative disciplines.
“In the short period, I have been with THRIVE I have come to quickly realize that outside of their incredible work, THRIVE is genuinely successful in those all so common buzz words that get talked about often, but never really happen in other companies. People honestly work as collaborative teams, they give and seek open communication, they want to be challenged by their peers, and welcome ambiguity and problem-solving. Needless to say, I am pretty happy to be here.”
Wages holds a Bachelors degree in Advertising and Marketing, and a Masters in Design and Photography, both from the University of Georgia. Wages will report directly to CEO & Co-Founder Jonathan Dalton and will lead our team into the future. He will be responsible for the successful execution of our long-term growth plans to ensure that we continue to serve our clients, and develop our employees in the best way possible.
