David Trettin is adept at all aspects of the product development process—thanks to over 12 years of experience in consumer products engineering, design and sourcing. Dave is the resident “yes man” at THRIVE—daring to help make designers’ wild ideas possible. He does this thanks to a nuanced perspective that combines business sense, design sense and a non-traditional (for most engineers, anyway) left-and-right-brained open mindedness.

Dave’s experience runs the gambit, including domestic and global work for clients like AT&T, Wolf Gourmet, SC Johnson, Irwin Industrial Tools, Bernzomatic, APEX, Goody, Newell Rubbermaid, McDonald’s and Halyard Health Care. He’s developed a wide range of consumer products, business plans and go-to-market strategies, and currently holds over 20 patents and several licensing agreements. Dave studied mechanical engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison , has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and earned an M.B.A with emphasis on business strategy at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
