As Senior UX Designer at Thrive, Rebecca Rusk delights in aligning business goals with user needs and always aims to create optimal value for both. She is a design thinker, mentor and usability expert who loves mobile, connected devices and interactive storytelling.
Rebecca is a results-oriented leader recently recognized with the Avant-Garde Award for Leadership and Innovation by Rocky Mountain Women in Cable and Telecommunications. Her work spans 20 plus years including senior management design roles at Bex UX, Turner Broadcasting, Starz Entertainment and TCI/AT&T Broadband. Rebecca established Turner’s UX Center of Excellence and created interactive products with CNN, March Madness, TNT, TBS and Cartoon Network. Rebecca has been awarded several patents, design awards and Emmy nominations. She earned a Bachelor degree from the prestigious University of Missouri School of Journalism.
Giving back to the community is one of the things Rebecca likes best. She serves as Co-Chair of ATL World Information Architecture Day and on the leadership committee of ATL IxDA. She is active in Ladies That UX, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Georgia Institute of Technology HCI Mentoring and the University of Missouri Research Advisory Board. Rebecca is an avid hiker in Wyoming state parks and closer to home loves a stroll through the Atlanta Botanical Garden.
