THRIVE Wins Two Prestigious 2021 iF Design Awards
ATLANTA, GA, April 25, 2021 – THRIVE and Mirion Technologies have won two prestigious 2021 iF DESIGN AWARDS, the world-renowned design prize. The competition was intense: almost 10,000 entries were submitted from 52 countries in hopes of receiving the seal of quality. THRIVE’s entries won over the 98-member jury, made up of independent experts from all over the world, and the Hannover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH, who organizes the iF DESIGN AWARD.
In the Professional Concept category, THRIVE won for the Design Language System (DLS) created for Mirion Technologies, a manufacturer of radiological instruments. The system unifies Mirion’s portfolio of 550 products acquired over time, giving a common look and feel that helped the company scale design, reduce design debt and build brand equity through a consistent and harmonized appearance.
For the Product category, THRIVE’s work on Mirion’s AccuRad Personal Radiation Detector (PRD) won for its discreet but easy-to-read display that communicates radiation readings to users at a glance without alarming non-ER observers. The product’s unique “on-the-move” localization algorithm also includes intuitive source search with a built-in radar screen that points to the point of origin of the radioactive material.
