OVERVIEW
Shahar is a Senior at the University of Cincinnati, majoring in Industrial Design with a minor in Psychology. She will graduate in spring 2025. Her passion for design stems from a desire to create meaningful solutions that serve others. She is eager to explore the intersections of brand, digital, and product interactions while focusing on how design research can impact businesses and communities. Her background reflects her strong commitment to user-centered design, leadership, and service, extending from campus initiatives to professional environments.
EXPERIENCE
Shahar has already gained diverse industry experience through co-op rotations at P&G, 84.51°, and Livewell Collaborative, where she developed skills in design research and UI design. Her work has tackled real-world challenges, including backend projects for Kroger. These experiences have broadened her understanding of how design research can solve human-centered problems. Shahar is excited to deepen her expertise at THRIVE by working on multiple projects and gaining practical experience for her future career.
EXTRAS
Beyond her academic and professional achievements, Shahar is actively involved in her community. She serves as a youth counselor at her local mosque in Cincinnati, where she also contributes to the communication team, aiding with their social media presence. She also loves exploring new cultures which is highlighted by her study abroad experience in Italy, where she deepened her expertise in industrial design. In her free time, she enjoys playing pickleball, watching early 2000s rom-coms, creating art, and exploring new cities.
