Thanks to his background in design strategy and industrial technology, Ben Davis is a talented researcher who plays a key role at THRIVE. He conducts user research, runs creative workshops, develops insight-led strategies and works with clients of all sizes to scale insight across the value chain. Ben is expert at balancing creative intuition with pragmatism to develop sound strategies and tell powerful stories.
Before THRIVE, Ben worked as a design researcher and technologist for the Institute for Creative Integration in San Francisco, CA. In this role, he used his research and technical design skills to bring a user-centered perspective to client teams working in the transportation, medical equipment and housewares industries. Since joining THRIVE in 2014, Ben has led qualitative research projects for AT&T, Mercury Marine and StainMaster. He earned an M.A. in Design Planning from the Institute of Design, IIT and a B.A. in Industrial Technology from Humboldt State University.
In his free time, Ben is an amateur photographer, developing film in his own home darkroom. He also enjoys spending time in Beijing where he and his wife maintain an apartment.
